Brighton Beach Boardwalk Bury

When I was young, we went to Brighton beach. The jump from the boardwalk to the sand was significant (granted, i was 3 feet tall.) Over the years, sand has eroded from Long Island and the Rockaways, ending up primarily in Brighton Beach. A visit several years ago showed the sand level with the boardwalk. Now, despite continuous shoveling by the city, the sand has buried not only the staircase but parts of the boardwalk its self!
